Are you pregnant?

Seeking connection with other pregnant mums?

Needing to connect with your baby?

Wondering how you will build your village once your baby arrives?

Pregnancy Women’s Circle allows you to do this and more.

Pregnancy is a time of growth, in all aspects of the word but is a time where connection is craved. Connection with our bodies, baby (or babies) and other women who are pregnant. If you are looking for this connection then Pregnancy Women’s Circle is for you.

Pregnancy Women’s Circle is an intimate face to face term based program held in Springfield on a Thursday night from 6:00 - 8:00pm for 5 mums in any trimester of pregnancy.

With only 5 women participating in each Circle, connection with each other is a priority. Pregnancy Women’s Circle is for first time, second or third time mums. It’s perfect for those who already have a child as it gives you time to connect without any interruptions.

Pregnancy Women’s Circle is a way too:

  • build your village of women around you before your baby (or babies) are born,

  • create connection with these women in the group,

  • connect with your baby (or babies), to breathe and to remind yourself there is a life growing inside of you

  • chat all things pregnancy (both in person and via a closed chat group)

  • and a little bit of childbirth education thrown in each week.

Each week we will hold space for each other, complete a guided meditation and discuss a different topic. Topics covered include:

Week 1: Getting to Know Each Other Circle

Week 2: Born at Home Screening - Limestone Cinema Ipswich

Week 3: Birth Stories

Week 4: Creating Birth and Postpartum Affirmations

Week 5: Labour Comfort Measures & Birth Choices - All the Options

Week 6: Birth Choices - Labour Interventions

Week 7: Communication Skills + Birth Plans

Week 8: Postpartum Planning

Please note there will be no Circle on Thursday 21st March

Circle Fee: $200 and includes all resources for the workshop, plus a snack each week. All you need to do is bring yourself and an open mind.

The group will be facilitated by Katie Allen, a local mum of three children, Postpartum Doula, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and Babywearing Educator. Katie has lived in Springfield for the past 7 years and knows what it’s like to be pregnant with a limited village around her, has experience with the Military but most importantly has a passion to ensure that women are supported in their pregnancy so they can go into this transformative experience feeling supported educated on their choices, heard and seen. In facilitating these circles, Katie will bring her extensive childbirth education training, experience from supporting postpartum families and her knowledge of the local area.
